Recently, the Patriotic Front (PF) reported Katete district council to police for allegedly selling the land that was meant for a police post.
PF Katete District Chairperson Moses Phiri disclosed that his party asked the police to investigate the alleged sale of land by the district council.
Phiri also disclosed that PF had reported to police a few council workers that were linked to the sale of the land that was meant for a police post.
He explained that the land was bought through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), contributed by the two constituencies namely Mkaika and Milanzi.
“As the country is striving to fight corruption and other vices there is need for a constant reminder that there is a law in the country,” said Phiri.
