Central Province Minister Sydney Mushanga has called on the church in the country to continue praying for peace of the nation.
Speaking during a Church Service at Saint Peter’s Congregation of the United Church of Zambia (UCZ) in Kabwe today, Mr. Mushanga said it is the desire of government that the church continues praying for peace, love and unity of the country.
Mr. Mushanga said the church must continue praying for the government leadership and those in the opposition for peace and tranquility to reign in the nation.
During the same service, the minister, who is also Bwacha Constituency Member of Parliament (MP), donated 25 pockets of cement and K3, 000 cash towards the completion of the kitchen which is under construction at the church.
And UCZ Central Presbytery Bishop, Reverend Edward Musonda, thanked the minister for his humility and for identifying himself with the electorates in his constituency.
Meanwhile, Saint Peter’s Church Minister-In-Charge, Rev. Georgina Mukupa, reaffirmed that the United Church of Zambia (UCZ) will continue to pray for peace, love and unity for the nation.
