Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development Moses Mawere says the construction of the youth resource Centre in Balmoral area in Chilanga district is well on progress.
Mr. Mawere underscored that works that began in June 2017 will be completed in June 2019 which is within the 24 month’s time frame.
He explained that the project is a joint venture between Zambian and South Korean governments but wholly funded by the South Korean government.
ZANIS reports that Mr. Mawere said this in parliament today when responding to a question from Chilanga Member of Parliament Maria Langa.
Ms.Langa wanted to know when the construction of the youth resource Centre in Balmoral area in Chilanga Parliamentary Constituency will be completed as well as what has caused the delay in completing the project.
The Chilanga law maker also wanted to know what the time frame for the completion of the project is as well as the courses will be offered at the Centre when it opens not to mention how many students will be enrolled in each intake.
In his response Mr. Mawere said there is no delay in the execution of the project, saying the works are within the schedule time.
Mr. Mawere pointed out that once completed the youth resource Centre will be providing several courses such as Power Electrical, Carpentry and joinery, Mindset Education among other courses.
He further said the institution will be enrolling between 25-30 students per class in line with the Country’s education requirements.
