Government has disclosed that the contractor engaged to tar the Mpongwe- Machiya road will soon move on site.
Copperbelt Province, Minister Japhen Mwakalombe says KPPM Construction Company of South Africa, is expected to mobilize on site once all formalities with the Ministry of Finance are completed.
ZANIS reports that Mr Mwakalombe disclosed this when he paid a courtesy call on Chief Machiya of the Lamba speaking people in Mpongwe today.
Mr Mwakalombe further assured the traditional leader that the construction of three health posts in the district will soon commence.
He added that the ministry of health had already laid the foundation for the project to begin as soon as possible.
Mr Mwakalombe was accompanied by Copperbelt Patriotic front (PF) Chairperson Nathan Chanda and other senior party officials.
And Chief Machiya told Mr Mwakalombe that the people of Mpongwe are optimistic that all the projects that the government started in the district will be completed.
