A 31 year old Lusaka resident has committed suicide at a Guest house in Nakonde District, Muchinga Province.
Muchinga Province Police Commissioner, Joel Njase confirmed the incident to ZANIS in Nakonde District.
He said the body of Milimo Hakanzaba was discovered after a worker at Wayimbila Guest house reported to Police about the guest who had not left his room since he checked in on Saturday and the door was locked from inside.
Mr Njase said police officers went to the named guest house and managed to dismantle the locking system to the room where Hakanzaba’s body was found lying dead in the bathroom.
He further said after the body was physically inspected it was found that white form mixed with blood was coming out of the mouth and nose of the deceased and no physical injuries were found.
Mr Njase said an empty bottle of doom and a note book were also found on the table with an apologetic note addressed to his wife and relatives.
He said a wallet was also found which contained a driver’s license believed to be bearing the names of the deceased.
The body has since been deposited at Nakonde urban Clinic mortuary.
