An Officer from the Office of the President in Luwingu in Northern Province has appeared before the  Magistrate Court for unnatural offence contrary to section 155 (a) of chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.

Moses Chanda 33, of Lupili Township who is also an Intelligence Officer at the Office of the President in Luwingu appeared before Magistrate Davy Simfukwe for allegedly having canal knowledge of a 15 year old boy of the same compound contrary to the laws of Zambia.

It is alleged that on the date unknown but between 20th and 26th June 2018, Chanda had canal knowledge of boy aged 15 years.

After the charge was read to him by Magistrate Simfukwe this afternoon, Mr. Chanda denied the charge.

The matter has since been adjourned to 11 July 2018 for commencement of the trial.

Mr. Chanda has been remanded at the Luwingu correctional prison.
