President Edgar Lungu has advised people not to listen to politicians peddling false information that the Patriotic Front government has failed to rule the country.
Speaking when he addressed a public rally at Lucheche Secondary School grounds in Mbala district today, the Head of State explained said it is sad that some people are trying to frustrate government development efforts.
The President however explained that government will not relent in taking development to all parts of the country despite the negative criticism.
President Lungu added that there is need for people to commend his administration for the massive development it has taking to various parts of the country which includes township roads, schools among other projects.
He further noted that the government will not stop working around the clock to ensure that challenges that people are facing in the country are cushioned.
Meanwhile, the President has promised farmers and agro dealers that he will engage the Ministry of Finance to release money to pay them their dues.
He said he will make sure that farmers are paid their money to allow them to plan adequately for the 2019/2020 framing season.
He noted that the agriculture sector is among the lucrative areas of the economy hence the need to ensure that farmer’s needs are addressed.
On mealie-meal President Lungu has promised Zambians that government will release more maize to millers to help stabilise the price of mealie meal.
The President has also expressed disappointment that some individuals in the country are trying to promote gay rights a situation he described as unfortunate.
President Lungu has since urged the public to be warry of such people who also wants to govern the country.
