Smart Zambia Institute has donated fifteen computers and accessories to the Author Davidson Children’s Hospital including rewiring network services at the hospital.
Smart Zambia Institute Director Standard Perceive Chinyemba, who handed over the equipment to the Health facility said his the institute is determined to develop the nation through ICTs.
Mr. Chinyama said the Smart Zambia institute is implementing the Seventh National Development Plan (SNDP) by improving service deliveries in health institutions through ICTs.
He added the ICTs have been put as an endeavor in Seventh National Development Plan.
Smart Zambia institute has targeted the health sectors because that is where most people are in need of ICTs, he said.
He further said the institute’s dream was to connect through all the health sectors in the country.
And speaking when received the donation Senior Medical Superintendent Jonathan Mwansa said he was happy that the legacy of Zambia was been practiced through ICT.
Dr. .Mwansa said he was happy that the Smart Zambia institute decided to donate the Computers at Arthur Davidson Children’s hospital as well as revamping the network system at the hospital.
He further said the equipment would also be used by the students at the institution to help through their training.
